SRINAGAR: Gold prices declined by Rs 208 to Rs 1,54,252 per 10 grams in futures trading on Tuesday, weighed down by weaker spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for October delivery fell Rs 208, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 1,54,252 per 10 grams. The contracts recorded a business turnover of 2,452 lots.
Market analysts attributed the decline to subdued demand in the spot market.
In international trading, gold futures also edged lower, falling 0.12 per cent to $4,432.26 per ounce in New York.
The movement in domestic gold futures came amid a marginal decline in international prices and softer spot-market demand.
