The Department of School Education has decided to reward the Principal, teachers and chowkidar of Boys Higher Secondary School, Hajin Bandipora for their alertness and timely action to save the school building from damage.
According to Chief Education Officer, Bandipora, some unknown arsonists tried to set school building on fire on November 06, 2016 at 7:30 pm in which a portion of school laboratory was damaged. He said the timely action of school staff on duty prevented the spread of fire thus saving valuable government property.
It was reported last night that locals and the staff of Higher Secondary School Hajjin has intervened and prevented the school from going up in flames. Only the laboratory suffered minor damage.
