In this regard, Education Minister Sakina Itoo has requested a list of such cases from the relevant authorities within a week.

The minister, during a review meeting of the School Education Department, instructed the directors of school education in both Jammu and Kashmir regions to compile a list of such cases.

“It has come to my notice that some individuals or families donated land for school construction, yet no family member has been appointed, nor have they received any form of compensation,” Sakina said during the meeting.

It was decided that the Directors of School Education for both Jammu and Kashmir regions should prepare these lists and submit them within a week.

Pertinently, KNO reported that in the era of the 7th Pay Commission, where government employees receive benefits accordingly, thousands of Contingent Paid Workers (CPWs) in the School Education Department are receiving minimal monthly salaries, ranging from Rs 25 to Rs 500.

The majority of these CPWs had provided land to the School Education Department.
