The summer vacations for all government and private recognized schools of winter zone of Jammu and Kashmir region which were to be observed between July 02 and July 14 have been deferred till further orders.
The decision has been taken in the backdrop of the scenario that has developed in the aftermath of incessant rains which have lashed the Kashmir Valley bringing the temperatures considerably down.
A government order issued in this regard said: ” In view of the climate change in the state, it is hereby ordered that the summer vacations already ordered for all government and private recognized educational institutes functioning in Kashmir division and winter zone of Jammu w.e.f, 2nd July to 14 July are hereby deferred till further orders.”
