SRINAGAR: In a significant administrative move, hours before the Election Commission of India is set to notify elections for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly, the government has ordered several transfers and new postings for key officials, effective immediately. The General Administration Department issued the following updates:
Prerna Raina, currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Resident Commission, J&K Government, New Delhi, has been transferred and will await further orders from the General Administration Department.
Abhimanyu Singh, presently posted as Block Development Officer (BDO), Reasi, has been transferred and his services are now placed at the disposal of the Principal Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi.
Mohd Abrar, who was awaiting adjustment orders in the General Administration Department, is now transferred and his services have been placed at the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.
Saroj Khah, Under Secretary in the office of the Principal Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi, has been recalled and will await further adjustment orders from the General Administration Department.
Sanjay Kumar Koul, Under Secretary in the Resident Commission, J&K Government, New Delhi, has been transferred and posted as Under Secretary to the Government, Cooperatives Department.
Susheel Kumar, State Taxes Officer, P-side Railway Station, Jammu, has been transferred, and his services are placed at the disposal of the Principal Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi, on deputation for one year. He will retain his seniority and promotion prospects in the State Taxes Department.
