Governor, N. N. Vohra has accorded approval to the State Government’s recommendation to appoint Tsering Angchok, IAS (Retd.) as member of the J&K Public Service Commission, official spokesperson said.

Angchok, who has worked in the State Government in varied capacities in the field, departments and in the Secretariat, was inducted into the Indian Administrative Service in 2013, with 2002 seniority, and retired as State Excise Commissioner in February 2017.

The J&K Public Service Commission has a sanctioned strength of Chairman plus eight Members and a vacancy had arisen after Tashi Dorjee Superannuated in May 2016.
