SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Home Department has appointed three officers of the JK Prosecution Service as Public Prosecutors and Additional Public Prosecutors for handling criminal cases in various Sessions Courts.
According to an order issued by the Principal Secretary to the Government, the appointments have been made under Section 18 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
Sheikh Tanveer Rasool, Chief Prosecuting Officer, who was previously posted as Additional Public Prosecutor for the NIA and Additional Sessions Court, Ganderbal, has been appointed Public Prosecutor at the Principal Sessions Court, Kupwara.
Syed Jehangir Ahmad, Chief Prosecuting Officer, who earlier served as Public Prosecutor at the Principal Sessions Court, Kupwara, has been appointed Public Prosecutor at the Principal Sessions Court, Ganderbal.
Shafat Ahmad Bhat, Chief Prosecuting Officer, who previously served as Public Prosecutor at the Principal Sessions Court, Ganderbal, has now been appointed Additional Public Prosecutor for the NIA and Additional Sessions Court, Ganderbal. (JKNS)
