SRINAGAR: Sakeena Itoo, informed the House on Monday that restrictions have been imposed on the sale and purchase of land in Khimber and Chatterhama.
Replying on behalf of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to a question raised by Salman Sagar in the Legislative Assembly, the Minister said that the restrictions have been in place since 24th April 2024. These apply to land recorded as Shamilat Section 5 in the estates of Khimber and Chatterhama.
She further informed that the Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar is conducting an inquiry into the matter, as directed by the Financial Commissioner (Revenue), JK, under Order No. 03-FC (Rev) of 2024, dated 24-04-2024.
