SRINAGAR: Minister for Agriculture Production, Javid Ahmad Dar, on Saturday informed the Legislative Assembly that the government has taken several measures to support farming activities across Jammu and Kashmir during the current season.
The Minister was responding to concerns raised by MLA Ghulam Ahmad Mir during the zero hour. Dar said that all stakeholder departments have been directed to ensure the timely provision of fuel for agricultural and horticultural operations.
He emphasized that instructions have been issued to concerned authorities to prevent any inconvenience to farmers during ongoing farming activities.
Dar assured the House that all possible steps are being taken to facilitate smooth agricultural operations and to guarantee an adequate supply of fuel required for both agriculture and horticulture purposes.
