After Peoples Democratic Party elected Mehbooba Mufti as its Legislative party chief on Thursday, Mehbooba is scheduled to hold meeting with Governor N N Vohra in Jammu Friday afternoon.
Senior PDP leaders, Muzaffar Hussain Baig and Tariq Hameed Karra, representing North and Central Kashmir in Lok Sabha, are accompanying Mehbooba to Jammu. Sources said that the trio shall be flying to winter capital from some time now.
Meanwhile, right wing Hindu nationalist BJP state president too shall be meeting Vohra this afternoon.
Before meeting governor, BJP state unit is holding a meeting with its national general secretary Ram Madhav, and Jitendra Singh, MoS in Prime Minister’s office.
The proposed meetings are scheduled to fix the date of swearing-in ceremony of PDP-BJP government.
The PDP meeting with Governor was fixed at 3:00 pm but sources said that PDP has requested N N Vohra to reschedule the meeting at 5:00 pm.
