To review the status of public grievances, a meeting of nodal officers designated by various administrative departments was held here Thursday.

In the maiden meeting chaired by political analyst in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra, the grievances of 15 departments came up for review, an official statement said this afternoon.

“It was informed that most of the grievances have been disposed off while in remaining cases the departments were asked to address them in time bound manner,” the official spokesperson said. “The meeting was told that under the revamped grievances redress mechanism the status of the complaints would be communicated to the complainant also.”

The political analyst called for streamlining the system to make it more “result-oriented and public friendly”.
