Govt Orders Fresh Demarcation of State Land Transferred to SDA

   

SRINAGAR: The Tehsildar Office Gund in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district has ordered a fresh demarcation exercise of state land transferred to the Sonamarg Development Authority as part of an ongoing probe connected with Roshni and land-encroachment cases referred to the CBI under verification number SLK-26 of 2009.

The order cites multiple official communications issued between July and November 2025 and states that the demarcation will be conducted on November 20, 2025, in accordance with Government Order Rev(S) 256 of 2007 dated July 25, 2007.

A six-member team has been constituted for the exercise. The officials directed to report at Sonamarg on the scheduled date include Naib Tehsildar Sheepathri Mohammad Yusuf Lone, GQ Sonamarg Mohammad Husain Teli, GQ Wakura Mohd Shafi Lone, Patwari Qasba Lar Tariq Ahmad Mala, Patwari Harran Ghulam Hassan Shah, and Patwari Sonamarg Inayat Ullah Kalas.

According to the order, the team will demarcate the khasra numbers that stand transferred to the Sonamarg Development Authority and subsequently submit a report to the Tehsildar Gund. [KNT]
