SRINAGAR: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, in collaboration with the District Employment and Counselling Centre Srinagar is offering a distinctive opportunity for budding entrepreneurs.

The centre is situated in Rajbagh, Srinagar. The initiative encompasses a range of schemes including MUMKIN, TEJASVINI, and SEI (Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative), tailored to cater to various segments of the youth population.

Under the MUMKIN scheme, unemployed youth are poised to receive invaluable support aimed at establishing sustainable livelihoods within the transport sector. This entails facilitating the procurement of small commercial vehicles. Participants stand to benefit from a 20 per cent subsidy coupled with zero initial personal investment, eliminating the need for a guarantor.

The TEJASWINI scheme, crafted to empower women entrepreneurs, extends financial assistance of up to Rs 5 lakh. Participants are entitled to a 10 per cent subsidy along with an interest subsidy amounting to Rs 60,000.

Entrepreneurs aspiring to obtain financial aid for launching new ventures or expanding existing ones can derive significant advantage from the SEI (Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative) scheme.
