The Government Monday decided to seek the consultancy of the experts of Royal Spring Golf Course Management (RSGC) for maintenance of golf courses of the state and directed concerned development authorities to making MoUs for the purpose.

The decision in this regard was taken at a high level meeting of the officers of Tourism and its allied departments held under the Chairmanship of Minister for Tourism, Ghulam Ahmed Mir here on Monday, an official statement said.

“The meeting decided to give newly constructed Tourist Reception Centres by development authorities not outsourced yet to the JKTDC on rent to make it more vibrant and commercial.

The meeting also decided to post 2 Town Planners in Kashmir and Jammu divisions by surrendering two Architects besides also decided to post one Superintendent Engineer for ensuring prompt functioning and formulation of Master Plans of the authorities,” the statement further said.

The meeting reviewed Physical and Financial achievements of various Tourism Projects being executed by the authorities under state and centre plans.

“Receiving brief on different Tourism projects through Power Point Presentations given by CEOs, the minister emphasised on ensuring all facilities to the tourists. He also stressed for close coordination of the concerned departments for removal of impediments confronting timely completion of some tourism projects for growth of tourism in the state besides develop new spots,” it added.
