According to an order issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Baramulla, the petrol pump, owned by Mohammad Ashraf Khan of Chinkipora Dangerpora, was found to have violated several regulations, including exceeding the permissible storage limit for Class B petroleum. The District Magistrate’s directive, based on reports from the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Sopore and other departments, called for the immediate sealing of the unit.

However, despite clear instructions, allegations have surfaced regarding delays and alleged reluctance on the part of the Tehsildar of Dangerpora to enforce the order.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Sopore assured that due action would be taken, confirming that the Deputy Commissioner’s order had been received. “The sub-divisional administration will act accordingly to ensure compliance,” the ADC said. (KNO)
