Agriculture Production Department Kashmir will start procurement of Mushkibudji from January 2, 2017.
This was announced by the government on Friday after a meeting chaired by Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura.
The details suggest that the Mushkibudji paddy would be procured from sub-division Acchabal , district Islamabad on the rates already approved by the government at the rate of Rs 8500 per quintal.
Hanjura in the meeting said this step will change agri production of Mushkbudji and help in revival of lost-genone.
Director Agriculture, Kashmir, Managing Director J K Agro Industries Corporation Ltd, representatives from SKUAST Kashmir and Chief Agriculture Officer were present in the meeting.
