Govt starts probing commercial complex construction at Rajbagh

Government of Jammu and Kashmir constitutes a committee to enquiry into the grant of the building permission case of Sheikh Gulzar Ahmad son of Habibullah Sheikh at Rajbagh Srinagar near Hatric.

As per government order, No: 30-GAD- (Vig) of 2018 sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of a committee comprising of the following to conduct an in-depth inquiry into the grant of permission for construction of commercial complex by one Sheikh Gulzar Ahmad son of Habibullah Sheikh SA Rajbagh Hatric:-

As per order Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar has appointed as a Chairman, Special Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department, Vice Chairman SDA, Director Floriculture, Representative of PHE, l&FC and PW (R&B Departments not below the rank of Supdt.Engineer as members of the enquiry committee.

According to the government order, the terms of reference of the committee shall be as under:-

1. To establish the ownership of land. whether state land/khacharie land which is not allowed to be sold as per the provisions of J&K Land Law was involved.
2.  whether the land use of the present site falling in the Srinagar Municipal Corporation was Commercial.
3.  whether the ongoing construction at the site was as per the permission obtained earlier.
4. deviation in the proposed sanction if any is also to be brought out clearly.

“The Committees shall furnish the report within the period of four weeks. The Committee shall be serviced by the Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation,” reads a government order.
