Govt suspends two assistant professors over unauthorized absence from duties



The J&K government on Saturday has ordered the suspension of two assistant professors posted at the government degree college Pulwama for their unauthorized absence from duty, reports claimed.

The order issued by principal secretary higher education department, Asgar Samoon reads that

“Pending inquiry into the matter, Jahangir Ahmad Rather and Rayees Ahmad Sheikh, assistant professors in GDC Boys Pulwama are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect,” reads an order issued As per the order, director colleges in higher education department has been asked to conduct a thorough inquiry in the matter and furnish recommendations to administrative department within a week’s time.

Reports also said that Director Colleges will also serve a showcase notice to Bashir Ahmad Mir, Principal GDC Pulwama for not reporting the matter to administrative department.
