SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday terminated two doctors for their unauthorised absence from their duties. Orders for the termination of their services were issued by Bhupinder Kumar, Secretary to the Government of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the order, the services of Dr Asim Shameen Zaz, who was appointed as Medical officer and submitted a leave application to the CMO, Budgam for grant of 89 days to attend a marriage function in Canada, but after the lapse of leave, the doctor did not rejoin the duties.

Meanwhile, another medical officer, Dr Kawaldeep Kour was also terminated  from her services. She had submitted an application for sanctioning of study leave for duration of one year to GMC, Baramulla, but after the lapse of her leave, she did not rejoin her duties.
