Kashmir University Saturday chalked out strategy to conduct undergraduate examinations which the spokesman  said will commence by the end of November,2016.

The meeting which was chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof Khurshid Iqbal Andrabi according to spokesman  decided to conduct examination in cold zone colleges of Kashmir (Ladakh/Kargil/Tanghdar/Gurez) by end of this month (November-2016).

He further said that the Bi-Annual Examinations of 1st Year/2nd Year in Kashmir Valley shall commence from 2nd week of December 2016.

With regard to 3rd Year Annual Examination (of both Regular/Backlog Candidates) in Kashmir Valley, the spokesman said that it was decided to allow the students to avail the time till December-end for preparation and using e-content already uploaded on the University website (in UG E-Tutorial section/on some city college web portals).

“This examination would consequently start in the last week of December-2016,” spokesman added.

Regarding the practical examination in Lab-Oriented subjects it was resolved that it shall be held after the conclusion of theory examination.

Spokesman  further added that the Examination of 2nd Semester (Batch-2015) shall be held on priority, preferably from mid-December-2016 as the syllabus of courses has already been completed.

Consequently, the third semester examination of this batch shall be held in early March 2017 for smooth start of next academic session.

Giving further details, the spokesman said that the examination of 1st semester (2016) shall commence from mid-January 2017 while 2nd semester examination of this batch shall be held from mid-March in view of already-uploaded e-content material.

“Due care shall be taken of the genuine concerns/interests of the students while conducting the examinations,” members in the meeting agreed.
