Bukhari said that Khazir Mohammad Sheikh is in a critical condition and is on ventilator support, adding that the family is going through a deeply distressing period. In a post on X, he expressed concern over the patient’s condition and extended solidarity with the family, while praying for his complete recovery.
He also appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to allow Engineer Rashid parole so he can be with his ailing father and family during this difficult time.
Bukhari described the move as a humane and dignified step, stating that such a decision would be widely appreciated across Jammu and Kashmir.
MP Baramulla, who is popularly known as Engineer Rashid, has been in jail since 2019 in an alleged case of terror funding.
