Unknown persons on Friday evening hurled a grenade towards the residence of Congress leader Surinder Singh Channi in Monghama village of Tral town of Pulwama district in south Kashmir.
An official said the grenade was hurled at the residence of Congress leader at 6:15 p.m. “The device exploded inside the compound of the house but no one was injured in the attack,” the official added.
Meanwhile, the government forces have cordoned off the area and a manhunt has been launched to nab to the assailants.
