SRINAGAR:  A grenade was hurled towards a police party in Padshahibagh area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

No one loss of life or injury was reported in the incident even as the police party, mainly comprising its Special Operation Group, fired a few rounds in the air after the attack, news agency GNS quoted official sources as having said.

They said that the grenade exploded at a distance from the police party and no casualty was reported. Later police, paramilitary CRPF and army’s 3RR cordoned off the area and started searches to nab the attack (s).

However, when this report was filed, no arrested had culminated. A police officer confirmed news about the grenade blast and said that a case has been registered and further investigations are underway.
