Unidentified persons hurled a grenade at the house of newly elected unopposed panch in Tral town of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, official sources said.
They said a grenade was hurled at the residence of Abdul Rashid Bhat at Tral. Bhat was elected unopposed as panch.
However, the grenade exploded without causing any damage, they said, adding that panic gripped the entire village after hearing the sound of the blast.
