An official said that the issue was efficiently resolved, and the service has been restored. “All the necessary safety checks have been conducted to ensure smooth operations,” the official added.

The issue reportedly occurred when the rope slipped from the pulley, causing the cable car system to halt. The rope was promptly placed back on the pulley by the team, enabling the resumption of operations.

Gulmarg Gondola, one of the highest cable cars in the world and a major tourist attraction in the region, connects the base station to Kongdori in its first phase and continues to the Afarwat peak in its second phase. (KNO)
