Srinagar: In another incident of threat to family of a police officer, unidentified armed men barged into the house of Abdul Samad in Hafru in central Kashmir’s Budgam district. The gunman challenged the cop at his residence who at the time of incident was not present.
Samad according to reports is posted in Baramulla district Jail.
The family was told that they had come to ‘teach him a lesson’ for not being lenient.
The reports suggest that since Samad was not at home, the gunmen took his son Ashiq and relative Bilal along with them when they left, but set them free at Doulatpora in Chadoora. Though the reports emerge that they set the car on fire.
Pertinently this is second incident after Special Operation Group DySP in Kulgam was targeted.
