SRINAGAR: Four people, including three tourists and a local driver, were killed while 17 others were injured after their vehicle met with an accident near the Gund Kangan area of Ganderbal district on Sunday.
Officials said a Toyota Etios collided with a bus near Gund Kangan, resulting in the accident.

The deceased have been identified as Leshia Ashish Pari, Nikki Ashish Pari, and Hetal Ashish Pari, all residents of Maharashtra, and Faheem Ahmad Badyari, son of Nazir Ahmad Badyari, a resident of Soitang, Srinagar.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, in an official statement, said, “Deeply saddened by the tragic road accident on the highway near Gund, Kangan, which has claimed several lives and left many others injured. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. Praying for the swift recovery of the injured. Authorities are providing all possible assistance.” (GNS)
