SRINAGAR: A gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Rawalpora village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday.
Reports said that a joint team of Army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir police launched a cordon and search operation in Rawalpora area of Shopian after having credible inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon forces triggering an encounter.
