Srinagar
Gunfight broke out between militants and the government forces in Mujgund area of Srinagar on Saturday evening.
Reports said that a joint team of SOG, Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation at Mujgund area following inputs about the presence of some militants in the area.
They said the militants opened fire after the cordon was tightened. The forces retaliated, leading to a gunfight.
A police officer while confirming incident said that the operation is ongoing. (GNS)
