SRINAGAR: An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in the Majalta area of Udhampur district of Jammu Kashmir on Tuesday.
Official sources said that security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area following specific inputs about the presence of militants.
During the operation, militants opened fire on the security forces, triggering an encounter.
