SRINAGAR: An encounter between security forces and militants is underway in the Dolgam area of Kishtwar district on Saturday morning.
In a post on X, White Knight Corps of Indian army said that contact with terrorists was re-established in the early hours of January 31 during the ongoing joint Operation TRASHI-I.

The Army said troops of the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF, acting on coordinated intelligence inputs from multiple agencies, established a cordon in the area and launched the operation.
“A cordon has been established and operations are in progress,” the Army said.
