SRINAGAR: A gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in the forest area of Dana Behak in Warnow area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday.
Reports said that a joint team of Army, CRPF and Police launched a cordon and search operation in Dana Behak Warnow after having credible inputs about the presence of some militants in the area.

As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon forces triggering an encounter.
