A gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Panzgam area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.
Reports said that a joint team of Army and SOG launched a cordon and search operation Panzgam area after having credible inputs about the presence of some militants in the area.
As the joint team of forces approached the suspected, the hiding militants fired upon forces triggering an encounter.
Meanwhile, mobile internet service was suspended in south Kashmir’s Awantipora.
