A gunfight broke out in Branpathry Kahlil area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday morning.
Reports said that a joint team of Army’s 42 RR, 180 BN of CRPF and SOG launched a cordon and search operation in Branpathry Kahlil.
An official said that as soon forces intensified searches the hiding militants fired upon government forces triggering a gunfight.
He said that its a forest area, right now there is no exchange of firing going on but the forces have tightened cordon.
