Gunshots were heard in Hussanpora Arwani, here in Bijbehara where forces cordoned off a few residential houses over the presence of suspected militants Wednesday afternoon.
Scribes on the spot informed Kashmir Life that few gunshots were heard from the spot.
Meanwhile, people from adjoining areas have taken to streets amid pro-freedom slogans.
