Gunshots were heard during cordon and search operation by government forces at Khur Batpora village of Damhal Hanjpora in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
An official said that gunshots were heard soon after a joint team of army and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir Police laid cordon and search operation on Sunday afternoon following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
The heavy concentration of the forces was witnessed in the area and all the routes leading to Khurr Batpora had been sealed, and house to house search operation is going on.
