The forces on Saturday cordoned off the Seer area of Tral township in Pulwama district after some gunshots were heard in the area.

A police official said that multiple gunshots were heard after which the joint team of 50RR, CRPF and police reached the spot.
Initial reports said that army was conducting door to door survey collecting details of the inhabitants when suspected militants opened fire on them. However, Kashmir Life could not independently confirm the claim.
