One more militant was killed in an ongoing encounter at Baktur area of Gurez near Line of Control (LoC) in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday.
With the killing of one more militant, the death toll of militants climbed to three.
An army officer also confirmed the killing of three militants during the gunfight.
He said that the operation is still going on in the area. He said that the contact was established with the militants soon after the alert troops detected the movement of a group of infiltrators who were trying to sneak into this side near the LoC.
Earlier, a fierce gunfight broke out between militants and soldiers of 36 RR along the LoC at Nowshera Nar area of Baktur in Gurez sector. (GNS)
