SRINAGAR: The arrival phase of Haj flights for pilgrims to Jammu and Kashmir will begin from June 2, 2026, according to a notification issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Haj Committee.
As per the communication received from the Hajj Committee of India and Akasa Airline, the first three Haj flights are scheduled to land at Srinagar International Airport between June 2 and June 4, with arrival timings ranging from 12:45 pm to 12:55 pm.
The Haj Committee has stated that due to NOTAM restrictions and operational instructions related to aircraft carrying heavy loads, luggage from Ahmedabad will be transported to Srinagar by road. Immigration and customs clearance will be completed at Ahmedabad itself.

In its advisory, the committee has issued strict baggage guidelines for returning pilgrims to ensure smooth facilitation.
Each pilgrim will be allowed one hand baggage weighing up to 7 kg. For Srinagar-bound flights, check-in baggage has been restricted to 5 kg per pilgrim.
Baggage exceeding 5 kg, up to a maximum of 30 kg per pilgrim, will be transported separately by road from Ahmedabad to Srinagar.
The committee has also advised pilgrims travelling in groups under the same cover to keep their Srinagar check-in baggage together to ease handling and coordination.
Officials said the arrangements have been put in place to streamline operations and ensure a smooth arrival process for returning Haj pilgrims at Srinagar International Airport.
