Qureshi confirmed that all arrangements have been finalised to ensure smooth operations for the pilgrims. “The first Haj flight from Srinagar will depart on May 14, and a total of three flights will operate over the next two days,” he said.

Earlier, Airports Authority of India in a post on social media platform X announced that flight operations will resume from today. It read, “ It is pleased to inform that these Airports are now fully operational for #CivilAircraft movements with immediate effect.”

Flight services were suspended at 32 airports, including Srinagar Airport, after India launched Operation Sindoor to target nine locations in Pakistan in response to the Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 lives on April 22.
