A meeting was chaired by the IGP Traffic J&K in his office chamber to discuss the traffic arrangements in connection with Hajj 2017.

During the course of the meeting, the spokesman said that the Traffic Police arrangements for hassle free movement of Hajj pilgrims coming from South/ North Kashmir and other parts of the State to the Hajj House, Bemina (Srinagar) on scheduled dates of their visit were discussed threadbare.

The participants were informed that the Hajis are scheduled to proceed for pilgrimage this year from the state, tentatively from July 25, 2017 to August 3 2017.

Emphasis was laid on ensuring hassle free movement of intending Hajj pilgrims coming from various district of Jammu and Ladakh regions on the scheduled dates of their journey for which close coordination with District Police/District Administration is imperative. Similarly, thrust was laid on effective management of traffic at Hajj House, Bemina, en-route and in/outside the airport.

The meeting was attended by the officers/officials form Traffic City Srinagar and Traffic Rural Kashmir.
