SRINAGAR: With the Hajj 2022 – conducted after a hiatus of two years, over, the pilgrims will start flying home, quickly. The first Hajj flight will land in Srinagar on July 16. This will be the same batch that had taken off from Srinagar airport on June 5.

An official spokesman said the relatives of the pilgrims desiring of receiving the pilgrims at the airport must collect vehicle passes from the office of the respective Deputy Commissioner two days prior to the date of arrival except in the case of Srinagar. The same shall be available at Haj House, Bemina, two days prior to the date of arrival.

The passes can be had against the production of xerox copy of identity card having cover number written on the same, the Hajj Committee statement said.

Last flight will land on August 2, 2022. That will bring in the last batch that had left on June 21.

More than six thousand pilgrims had flown to Mecca for Hajj this year.
