SRINAGAR: On the occasion, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri conducted a comprehensive inspection of services and infrastructure at Hajj House Bemina, including forex counters established by banks, luggage screening machines, e-bracelet counters, and boarding facilities. He also reviewed the cleanliness of lodging rooms and checked the availability of essential amenities such as water and uninterrupted electricity supply.
The inspection was carried out ahead of the scheduled departure of intending pilgrims for Hajj-25, set to commence on Sunday, May 4, 2025.
Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Bilal Mohi-ud-din Bhat, the Div Com was joined by senior officers from the Airport Authority of India, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), Health Department, PHE, KPDCL, Information Department, Hajj Committee, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Jammu and Kashmir Police, Customs, Emigration, SpiceJet, and various banking institutions.
During the visit, officers from the Hajj Committee briefed the Div Com on the extensive arrangements made to ensure security, efficient traffic management, proper sanitation, and other crucial services for the pilgrims.
Emphasising the significance of a smooth and dignified experience for the pilgrims, the Div Com directed all departments to maintain close coordination and deliver meticulous services both at the Hajj House and during the departure process. He underscored the need to prioritise the comfort and safety of the pilgrims undertaking this sacred journey.
