SRINAGAR: A hand grenade found near Hanuman Temple in the Chityar area of Rajouri district was safely destroyed by a Bomb Disposal Squad after children playing nearby spotted the suspicious object and alerted the police, officials said.
Police personnel reached the spot after receiving the information and cordoned off the area as a precautionary measure.
The grenade was subsequently destroyed by the Bomb Disposal Squad without any reported incident, officials said.
