Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday identified as the second militant killed in Handwara gunfight as Ashiq Hussain Zargar son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Zargar resident of Tulwari Langate.
A police spokesman apropos to our earlier press release regarding an encounter at Handwara, its further informed that the two killed militants have been identified as Manan Bashir Wani son of Bashir Ahmed Wani resident of Tiki Pora, Sogam, Kupwara and Ashiq Hussain Zargar son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Zargar resident of Tulwari Langate.
The gunfight broke out after a joint team of army’s 30 RR and SOG cordoned off Shatgund Balla area during wee hours today.
