A short film, Hardouk Ooush-Tears of autumn, directed by a young boy from Srinagar has been selected for international India film festival Spain.
Wasaf Jeelani, 24, is writer and director of the film. It was produced by Vivek Budakoti and Rajita Sharna under the banner of Magic Lantern Productions.
The short movie is said to be inspired from Anton Chekhovs short story Misery. Wasaf said his movie aims “to present a perspective on forced disappearances in Kashmir.”
Wasaf is currently assisting Megna Gulzar in his film Razzi produced by Dharma Productions and Junglee, with actors Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal playing the main lead.
