Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Friday said that Allah Almighty sent Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as a benefaction for the whole world and his life is a true manifestation of the Holy Quran, having complete guidance and the right way for the Muslims.

Addressing a huge congregation at the historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad, Mirwaiz said that Almighty Allah sent the great Prophet (SAW) as a role model for the humanity who taught us peace, harmony, brotherhood, respect for the humanity, forgiveness, and justice.

“The way of life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is a beacon of light for the whole humanity. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) didn’t only show us how to get closer to Almighty Allah but also guided us in every sphere of life be it political social or economic.”

Jama Masjid reverberated with naats and manqabats, in Kashmiri and Persian showering praises on Allah’s last messenger. Mirwaiz announced that on December 3, 2017 (Sunday), he will address a religious gathering after Zuhr prayers at Mughal Masjid Rainawari and on December 6, 2017 (Wednesday), J&K Awami Action Committee will organize a Seerat Conference at Mirwaiz Manzil Rajouri Kadal from 10:30 am.

On December 8, 2017, (Friday), Majlis-e-Rehmatalil Aalameen (SAW) will be organized at the historic Jamia Masjid Srinagar. Mirwaiz urged people to participate in all these religious and spiritual programs.

Meanwhile, Mirwaiz expressed deep grief over the demise of Abdul Kabir Sheikh, the father of JKLF founder member and leader Shaheed Abdul Hamid Sheikh. Mirwaiz prayed for a special place for the deceased in the Janah and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family stating that Sheikh was known for his social services.
