SRINAGAR: The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh has directed all its employees to strictly adhere to prescribed uniform norms while attending office or performing official duties, warning that non-compliance will invite disciplinary action.
According to a circular, it has been observed that some officers and officials have been attending duties in casual attire, which has been deemed as causing indiscipline and affecting the proper functioning of the court.
The directive applies to both gazetted and non-gazetted employees, including personal staff attached to registry officers, staff of the eCourts and IT sections, orderlies, ushers, and drivers. All are required to maintain the uniform prescribed for their respective categories.
The circular has been enforced with immediate effect, with controlling officers tasked to ensure strict adherence by staff under their supervision. (KNC)
