The Jammu and Kashmir High Court Tuesday quashed Public Safety Act (PSA) of incarcerated Hurriyat Conference (g) senior leader and Muslim League chairperson, Masarat Alam Bhat and directed his immediate release.
The judgment about the case was reserved last week however Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar announced the judgment today.
A spokesperson of Muslim League said that this was 34th PSA against Masarat during his 17 years of imprisonment so far.
Architect of 2010 uprising, Masarat is undergoing continuous imprisonment since last more than six years.
Presently, Masarat is languishing in district Jail Kathua.
