Massive exchange of fire continued between Indian and Pakistani troops through the night across the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. Firing was reportedly still on in several sectors.

Defense sources said that Pakistan violated ceasefire again as intermittent small arm fire continued through The night in Balakota and Sabzian area in Poonch sectors. The firing started at 9:30 pm and continued till 2 am.

This is the 17th ceasefire violation by Pakistan since five soldiers were killed along the LoC ten days ago. They added.

India and Pakistan always blame one another of violating ceasefire after every such incident. The ceasefire is in place from last more than ten years.

On Thursday, Pakistan resorted to “unprovoked” firing with rockets and mortar shell attacks along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch sector. Three army men and a civilian were injured in the attack.
